One platform for Name Screening

DetectX® screens customers and counterparties against sanctions, PEP and adverse media lists, monitors transactions against configurable rules and behavioural models, and routes every match to one alert queue for review.

Illustrative DetectX® interface, cycling through five screens: the screening alert queue, transaction monitoring, payment filtering, a customer risk profile and adverse media results. Synthetic data.

Seven detection modules, one alert queue

Every module draws on the same customer and transaction data, ingested and standardised once by the Data Collection Module.

Screening

Name Screening
Screens customers and counterparties against sanctions lists, PEP registers and adverse media sources. Matches above the configured threshold are raised as alerts.
Transaction Filtering
Screens payments against sanctions lists before they are processed, and holds a matched payment for review. Instant Payment Transaction Filtering covers instant payment schemes, where the check completes inside the scheme response time.
Adverse Media Search
Searches public news and media sources for negative coverage linked to a customer, and surfaces the results that meet your configured thresholds.

Behavioural detection

Transaction Monitoring
Analyses transactions against configurable rulesets and behavioural models to detect unusual patterns over time.
Client Risk Scoring
Maintains a risk score and risk tier for each customer, updated as new information arrives, with the rules and events that moved the score retained alongside it.
Digital Identity
Evaluates device, session and login signals from customer-facing applications to detect anomalous behaviour and account takeover.

Investigation and reporting

Alert Management
Analysts review, investigate and disposition alerts in one queue, with the customer profile, the transaction history and any linked alerts on the same screen. Investigations follow workflow templates that mirror your own review and escalation procedure.
Regulatory Reporting
Generates reports in GoAML 5.02 format for submission to MROS, and can be configured for other jurisdictions where applicable.

From match to disposition

Screening results can be filtered by list type to reduce false positives, and a match confirmed as a false positive can be whitelisted so it does not raise the same alert again.

The alert detail carries the match evidence, the linked objects and the full comment trail, so the reasoning behind a decision stays with the alert.

Record a disposition

  • Close, no action requiredFalse positive, or no suspicious activity found
  • EscalateForward to a supervisor for further review

Every disposition is logged with the analyst, the date and any notes recorded. An alert is closed by a person, not by the engine that raised it.

Where DetectX® sits

Data in, detection, a human decision, then the report. Nothing skips the analyst.

Sources

Core banking system

Primary source of customer and transaction data.

List providers

Sanctions, PEP and adverse media data, imported on a configured schedule.

Digital signals

Device and session data captured from customer-facing applications.

Detection

Business Rules Engine

Evaluates configurable rules against transaction and customer data to generate alerts.

Analytical Engine

Applies statistical and behavioural models for deeper pattern detection.

Alert management

AlertViewer

Where an analyst reviews the evidence, investigates and records the decision. Configurable investigation types and escalation paths.

Reporting

Regulatory Reporting

Structured reports in GoAML format for submission to the financial intelligence authority.

DetectX® is a standalone platform that can integrate with a range of core banking systems. Rules are versioned: a change is tested against historical data before it is published, and a previous version can be restored if it produces unexpected results.

Every decision is logged

Compliance work is judged after the fact, by someone who was not in the room. The record matters as much as the detection.

Audit trail

Every disposition is recorded with the analyst, the date and any notes. Rule changes are versioned and previous versions are retained, so a change can be reviewed or rolled back rather than reconstructed.

False positives

A match reviewed and confirmed as a false positive can be whitelisted so it does not raise the same alert again, and screening results can be filtered by list type. New rules are tested against historical data before publication, then tuned once real alert volumes are known.

Regulatory reporting

Reports are produced in GoAML 5.02 format for MROS submission. Required fields are pre-filled from the customer and transaction data DetectX® already holds, and a supervisor approves the report before it is submitted.
